Choosing a swim instructor is a big decision! There are many different styles and teaching methods. Do your own research on which instructor and type of lesson best suits your child and you. Focus on lessons that are going to teach your child how to float and provide them with the skills that they would need in an emergency. We do not encourage lessons where floatation devices are used.
Having formal lessons reduces the risk of drowning by 88%, however no child is drown proof, even with lessons. Multiple layers of protection are important.
The most important thing is to get your child into lessons. Don’t wait!
